Since 2004 the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima in Dalmarnock, originally founded from the Sacred Heart Parish 1950, was re-amalgamated with the Sacred Heart.
Recent years have been difficult; common with the western catholic community, numbers have declined. To address the challenge we have turned to
our mother Mary the Queen of Heaven: Since October 2005, we have been saying the rosary daily, as she requested in her Apparitions at Fatima.
Assuring us that her Immaculate heart would eventually triumph.
Recently we have seen a small return to our community and are gaining confidence that we shall see her Immaculate Heart triumph and the serpent suppressed.
We hope that you will join us in our challenge,
attending the Sacraments;
the primary means of this salvation of our souls
ordained by our Saviour, Jesus Christ, God the Son.

Welcome to our parish website as we prepare to celebrate the centenary of our church building here at Sacred Heart. I hope you are able to join us in some way during 2010 either by visiting our beautiful church here in Bridgeton or by remembering us in your prayers. We always remember all our benefactors in a special way in our prayers and masses. May the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus continue to pour out his blessings on you.
Your brother in Christ,
Fr. Stephen Dunn (P.P)

Although Our Parish Was Opened 1873,
The Present Roman Style Basilica Was Opened 1910,
So This Year We Celebrate The Centenary Of Our Parish Church.
The Parish Community Of Sacred Heart,
Invite you, To Join Us In This Celebration.
Especially Those Of You Who May Have A Wealth Of Information About The History Of Our Parish And Those Who Have Reached Out Far And Wide Across The World From Your Home Of Bridgeton. We Would Be Delighted To See You Return To Your Homestead. On The Feast Of Sacred Heart,
Friday 11Th June 2010 7pm

Opened in 1910 - The picture shows Canon Michael Hughes,
the Parish Priest at the opening of the new Church.
We are so proud here at Sacred Heart of Our Church, however, as the Church is 'A' listed (which means it is of local and national importance) maintenance cost as well as keeping the building warm are very high and often beyond our means. Our parish community is small in numbers and therefore we are in great need of your help both in your prayers and financial.
